We are looking for a passionate individual with effectively communication skills to help others in our communities with providing laundry services, daily meal preparation, check routine appointments, grocery shopping, accompanied clients to medical appointments and do light house apprises for seniors and persons with disabilities in their communities by preserving and enhancing their comfort with safety in mind.

Responsibilities

• Assists clients with personal hygiene, grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, toileting etc.
• Ensures health and safety standards are maintained.
• Guarantees that all medication is administered, following the current procedures set by supervisor(s)
• Remind client(s) to take their medication on time and as prescribed
• Perform general support and homemaking tasks
• Follow client’s care plan
• Help client(s) with light dusting, bed making, vacuuming, etc.
• Able to provide caregiver relief and companionship
• Provide compassionate care
• Ensure client(s) safety
• Keep client information confidential and private to comply with regulations
• Recognizes potential crisis or emergency situations, and inform supervisor(s) or manager(s) immediately
• Understands client’s aggressive behaviour to ensure no harm comes to the client, or your and report such behavior immediately to your supervisor(s).
• Reports any concerns regarding the health or safety of client(s) to the immediate supervisor(s)
• Performs other related duties as required.
• Be willing to attend in-service training and career development opportunities when available.

Qualifications:

• Personal Support Worker in a training program (optional)
• Nursing Undergraduate or Personal Support Worker Certificate
• Completion of a satisfactory Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Respectable time-management skills
• Previous work experience as a caregiver is an advantage
• Ability to work independently and multitask
• Work hours flexible to accommodate family needs
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Valid COVID vaccination Certificate
