We are looking for a Dietary Aide (DA) worker who can help prepare and cook proper meals for client(s) in their homes or any healthcare settings. The individual(s) obligations will include making food dishes, bringing them to specific people or quarters and maintaining the hygiene of the work area to prevent diseases transmission.

 Responsibilities

• Ensuring that client(s) staying in a healthcare facilities or homes maintain a healthy diet.
• Assisting in all aspects of food service assembly
• Assisting in basic food preparation
• Ensuring all dishes adhere to a particular menu
• Maintaining health and sanitization standards.
• Assembling food items and meals for client(s) in agreement with set menus and portion standards
• Setting tables in the dining room for each meal service
• Checking and ensuring dishware, cutlery, and glassware are clean
• Assisting in assembling meals for tray services
• Delivering food to client(s) in their rooms or a dining hall
• Setting, clearing, cleaning, and sanitizing dining spaces
• Perform cleaning duties as assigned
• Following established safety procedures for all food and equipment
• Ensuring the correct labelling of food and leftovers
• Report injuries or hazardous situations supervisor or manager immediately
• Taking part in departmental quality control audits and procedures

Qualifications:

• Current Food Service Worker Certificate
• Previous experience as a healthcare chef
• Any experience in working in a long term or nursing home
• Current Food Handlers Certificate
• Great skills in preparing meals
• Familiarity of hygiene and safety guidelines is required
• Virtuous time-management skills
• Able to work independently and multitask
• Effective communication skills
• Team player and able to collaborate successfully
• Work hours flexible to accommodate family needs
