We are looking for a passionate and caring home care Worker (HCW) to work with elderly client(s) and provide one-on-one intervention care such as assisting with personal care, meal preparation, socialization need and lightweight housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the fulfilment of individual goals and needs
• Following the instructions in the client(s) support care plan.
• Helping client(s) with leisure activities
• Helping to create special moments for clients each day.
• Providing personal care both direct and indirect
• Assisting client(s) with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
• Providing socialization need, compassionate care and companionship
• Preparing and serving nutritious meals as stipulated in the client(s) care plan
• Performing cleaning and sanitations duties
• Collecting specimens as needed
• Administering bedside and personal care
• Mending clothing and linens
• Laundering clothing and household linens
• Providing escort services as when needed during client(s) scheduled appointments
• Preforming medication reminders
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Experience with caring for the elderly, seniors, and other medical fragile patients
• PSW Students, Nursing Students are encouraged to apply
• Personal Support Worker Certificate is an asset
• First Aid and CPR certificate
• Familiarity of hygiene and safety guidelines is required
• Virtuous time-management skills
• Able to work independently and multitask
• Effective communication skills
• Team player and able to collaborate successfully
• Work hours flexible to accommodate family needs
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Valid COVID vaccination Certificate
