We are looking for an individual with a passion for helping others and first-hand knowledge and experience in providing care to people with disabilities. A Personal Support Worker to provide personal and social care for people with disabilities. You will work with disabled individuals and clients who have special needs. Your daily tasks will include assisting and advising clients, as well as taking part in household tasks.

Responsibilities

• As a Support Worker, you must attend to the specific needs of our clients and always show empathy while maintaining high-level communication skills.
• Advanced first aid skills are also required as you will handle emergency situations with disabled persons.
• Assist clients with daily living activities.
• Providing clients daily perineal care, grooming, showers, bed bath, feeding, bed- making, laundry, companionship, transferring, use of Hoyer/ Gait belt, toileting, repositioning, perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures
• Observing and reporting changes in patients’ conditions including skin breakdown, and recording all necessary charting entries, and providing direct and indirect care as directed by the supervisor.
• Supervisor(s) may assign other related duties as needed for client’s care
• Help patients with personal care and hygiene and effective oral care.
• Check vital signs and record daily client’s chart
• Maintains confidentiality and privacy for all clients, always
• Be respectful and treat every client and client’s family with dignity

Apply if you have these requirements:

• Personal Support Worker Diploma,
• Currently in Bachelor of Science in nursing degree program
• Have a healthcare background and valid related nursing degree
• Awareness of behavioral issues in Alzheimer and Dementia patients
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Recent Police Clearance
• TB and immunization records
• Valid COVID vaccination Certificate
• Be flexible and available to work weekends as needed
