We’re looking for a responsible Registered Practical Nurse (RN) to work with patients’ conditions and administer medications, treatments, as well as provide education to both patients and their families.

• You will make decisions on patient care and evaluate outcomes.
• To succeed in this role, you should have an outstanding knowledge of medicine, as well as affinity with patients.
• It is important to be compassionate and have the ability to communicate well with your fellow healthcare workers and the public.
• Ultimately, you will be interacting with patients directly to assess their needs and overall progress throughout treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out clinical assessments and physical examinations.
• Assist in administering intravenous injection and medication infusion.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and CT scans, by setting up equipment, arranging patient position and prepping skin.
• Perform a variety of clinical tests and procedures, like spinal taps, phlebotomy, EKG’s and Echocardiograms.

Apply if you have these requirements:

• Current certificate of competence as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a Rehabilitation/Complex Continuing Care Hospital or Acute Care Hospital preferred
• Current vulnerable sector check
• CPR and first Aid
• Certificate from a WSIB approved provider
• A copy of a 2-step TB test that is current
• N95 mask fit certificate due to COVID precautions
• Valid COVID vaccination Certificate
• A current copy of Immunization record – 2 step TB Test1, MMR, Tetanus, Hep B, Varicella, Flu Shot – annually.
